In short
- General pest control carries a 3-month warranty.
- Termite treatment carries 5 years on the ground floor and 1 year on upper floors.
- Mosquito control, ants control, rodent control and water tank cleaning do not carry a warranty.
- The warranty is given in writing on the day of treatment.
- If the treated pest returns within the period, we re-treat at no charge.
Warranty period for each service
The period starts on the day of treatment and is written on your warranty certificate.
| Service | Warranty | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Termite control, ground floor | 5 years | The treatment forms a barrier in the soil under and around the building, which is where termites enter. |
| Termite control, upper floors | 1 year | Upper floors have no soil to treat, so the treatment is applied to the woodwork and walls. |
| General pest control | 3 months | Covers cockroach, bed bug and flea and tick treatments, and general fumigation. |
| Mosquito control | No warranty | Mosquitoes fly in from the open areas around a property, so control outdoors is short-term. Closed areas stay controlled for longer. |
| Ants control | No warranty | New colonies can move in from outside the property after a successful treatment. |
| Rodent control | No warranty | Rats and mice move in from neighbouring buildings and drains, so no treatment can promise they stay out. |
| Water tank cleaning | No warranty | A cleaning service, not a pest treatment. A sanitation certificate is issued on completion. |
What the warranty covers
The warranty is a promise about one pest in one treated area for a fixed period.
Covered
- The pest named on your warranty certificate.
- The rooms or areas that were treated.
- Re-treatment at no charge if that pest returns within the period.
Not covered
- A different pest from the one treated. A cockroach warranty does not cover bed bugs, for example.
- Rooms or areas that were not part of the treatment.
- Mosquito control, ants control, rodent control and water tank cleaning.
When the warranty no longer applies
These conditions are part of our terms of service. The warranty is void if:
- The property has major structural changes or renovation after the treatment that compromise it.
- You carry out your own pest control in the treated area afterwards without telling us.
- The technician's post-treatment instructions are not followed, such as ventilation and the time rooms stay closed.
- The pest comes back from an adjoining property that was not part of the treatment.

Getting the most from your treatment
These are not conditions of the warranty. They are the habits that keep a treatment working for as long as possible.
- Leave gel bait where the technician placed it.
- Avoid washing the treated edges and skirting for as long as your technician advises.
- Keep food sealed and fix leaking taps and pipes, which attract cockroaches and ants.
- Remove standing water around the property, where mosquitoes breed.
The products behind each treatment are listed on our chemicals page.
Questions about the warranty
Is the warranty given in writing?
Yes. You receive a written warranty on the day of treatment, stating the service and the period covered.
Does a re-treatment cost anything?
No. If the treated pest returns within the warranty period, the re-treatment is free.
Why is the termite warranty shorter on upper floors?
On the ground floor the treatment forms a barrier in the soil, which is where subterranean termites enter a building. Upper floors have no soil to treat, so the treatment is applied to the woodwork and walls and is covered for 1 year.
Why is there no warranty on rodent control?
Rats and mice travel between buildings through drains, gaps and open ground. We treat the infestation and proof the entry points, but we cannot promise that new rodents will not arrive from outside, so we do not put a warranty on it.
Why is there no warranty on mosquito control?
Mosquitoes are flying insects. In an open area they arrive from the surroundings, and no treatment can hold them back for long. In closed areas the control lasts longer, but we cannot promise a fixed period, so we do not put a warranty on it.
Is termite monitoring available after treatment?
Yes. Optional annual monitoring is available with termite treatment. Ask about it when you book.
